Two IBT Graduate Students Earn Pre-doctoral Fellowships from the American Heart Association June 23, 2009

The American Heart Association has awarded pre-doctoral fellowships for two students studying at IBT.

 

Jue Zhang has earned funding for two years, at $25,000 each year, beginning July 1, 2009.  He is working in the laboratory of Dr. Fen Wang, and the title of his project is FGF Signaling Controls the Renewal and Differentiation of the Secondary Heart Progenitor Cells.

 

Jun Wang has earned funding for one year.  Her $25,000 grant also begins July 1.  She is working in the laboratory of Dr. James Martin, and the title of her project is Pitx2: Linking Atrial Fibrillation and Left‐Right Asymmetry.
